About Us

We are a business with an environmental agenda. We intend to make any impact on the environment with the resources available from a sound, profitable business.

We started as a “traditional” document shredding company in 2004. We provided consoles to business customers, and sent out trucks and drivers to service the consoles on a regularly scheduled basis.

In 2005, we developed Maxxafe System®, the first national document destruction provider to help companies comply with the state and federal identity theft laws.

Maxx characterTreemaxx started with the desire to help individuals and households prevent the theft of their personal information. But couldn’t we do more? We’ve always been proud of the tons of paper we’ve recycled after the paper is shredded. Many trees have been saved.

Then came a God moment. We are a faith-based family of businesses, so listening for His idea is not unusual, and this came with elegant simplicity.

Charge people to plant a tree. Give them the personal shredding, enough to save another tree. All benefit.

Using Treemaxx, people plant trees and save forests, and the forests thrive on carbon dioxide, store carbon, and return pure oxygen.

We use Web 2.0, social networking and word-of-mouth to grow the business. Our president, Mike Chadima, writes a blog called Trees in the Forest. As with everything we do, it is interactive, a dialogue. We will provide a forum for like-minded individuals to discuss and share topics that are of common interest.

Join us on the journey.
